Train and choose a model
If an operation needs to recognize parts, you must train a model first. This page covers the three ways to submit for training from the admin console, what is needed first, and how to verify and choose a model after training.
Before you start
To submit for training, you need:
- Model classes set up for the operation. Otherwise you see "工序未配置检测类别(model_classes)，无法送训" (The operation has no detection classes (model_classes), cannot submit for training). For setting up classes, see Set up the model and classes.
- The training platform enabled for your company. Otherwise you see "该租户训练对接未启用或未配置训练端地址" (Training integration is not enabled for this tenant, or the training address is not set). Contact your HEMI account manager to enable it.
- A draft operation does not need to be reviewed first to be submitted for training.
Submit for training
There are three ways in, and they all do the same thing:
- 打开训练平台 (Open training platform) in the top-right of the editor. If the operation has not been submitted for training yet, you see "还没送训" (Not submitted for training yet). Click 送训并打开 (Submit for training and open): it creates the training project, syncs the teaching video, extracts frames, runs AI pre-labeling, and opens the training platform in a new window.
- 送训 (Submit for training) in a row of the SOP 管理 (SOP Drafts) list. A dialog lists all operations of this SOP process. Each row has 送训 (Submit for training) and 打开训练平台 (Open training platform).

Submitting for training does not start training automatically
Submitting only goes as far as AI pre-labeling. Reviewing and training are done on the training platform.
Training
Extract frames, review and train on the training platform. See Understand the training platform and Train a model.
Verify and choose a model
- On the training platform's "模型" (Models) page, click 发测试版 (Release test version). See Release a model.
- On the workstation's "训练采样 → 训练" (Training Sampling → Training) page, click 验证模型 (Verify model) on the test version and check it against the real parts. See Train, verify and release a model.
- Once it checks out, choose it. Use any one of these:
- In the admin console, ③ Model & classes → "训练版本" (Training versions) → 使用此版本 (Use this version), or 选用 vN (Use vN) in the checklist;
- On the training platform's "模型" (Models) page, 发正式版 (Release stable);
- On the workstation's training page, 发布为正式版 (Release this version).
Releasing takes time, don't click twice
Releasing downloads the model file. It takes from tens of seconds to a few minutes.
How to check it worked
- For an SOP process that has already been approved: the workstation hot-updates to the new model automatically.
- For one that is still a draft: it is sent out once the review is approved.
