Adjust common settings
The few settings a worker may touch: language, theme, auto-dimming, teaching video progress bar, chimes, voice announcements and system upgrade. Other settings are for technicians.
In short
- Press Settings on the left. Settings not in the table below are usually adjusted by technicians; if you are not sure, leave them alone.
- If a button described in this help is missing on your machine, first check the version number under System › System Upgrade.
- When a new version pop-up appears, press Later while producing and upgrade when idle.
Common settings
Press Settings in the left sidebar. Other settings are usually adjusted by technicians; if you are not sure, leave them alone.
| Where | Setting | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Appearance | Language | 简体中文 / English. Takes effect immediately |
| Appearance | Theme | Dark / Light |
| Appearance | Auto-dim when idle | Off by default. When on, the screen dims after a while without touch; tap once to brighten it. It never dims while producing |
| Display | Teaching video progress bar | Whether the pause, speed and progress bar controls are shown under the teaching video on the home screen. Shown by default |
| Chimes | Round complete chime | A chime sounds when a piece is finished, whether good or defective. The "Chimes" group appears only if this machine has a speaker |
| Chimes | Step voice announcement | Off by default. When on, the machine says "Step N, step name" each time a new step begins |
| System | System Upgrade | Shows Upgrade Now when a new version is available; you can also press Check Updates |

A button in the help is missing: check the version first
The workstation has three parts, each with its own version number, shown under Settings › System › System Upgrade: UI, system service and recognition program. This Help Center is written for the following stable release:
| Part | Version |
|---|---|
| UI | 1.6.59 |
| System service | 1.6.58 |
| Recognition program | 1.6.42 |
If a button described in this help is missing on your machine, check the version numbers first. If they are lower than the table above, ask a technician to upgrade. The machine installs new versions by itself when idle.

About upgrades
- When a new version is available, a pop-up appears with the buttons Later and Upgrade Now. Press "Later" while producing, and upgrade when idle.
- Some updates are installed by the machine in the background, and the screen refreshes once when idle. It does not interrupt you while producing, practicing or in standby.
Red text at the top of the Settings page goes away in a few seconds
When the red text "Failed to read device settings… retrying automatically…" appears, wait a few seconds and it recovers by itself. No need to leave the page.
