Check which cell was picked from
For picking from a multi-cell rack. It only judges which cell the hand picked from, does not recognize parts and needs no detection model. It can check whether the right cell was used, or just record how many times each cell was picked.
In short
- On the zone page, draw one zone per cell first (name each zone after the material in the cell), then draw a material area that encloses the whole group of cells.
- In the step, choose "Pick from cell" and select the material area. To check picks, set 应取格子 (Expected cell); to only record them, choose 不指定 (Not specified).
- No model training is needed. An operation that only uses this kind of rule can start production without a model.
What it judges
The worker reaches into the rack to pick material. The workstation looks at the last cell where the hand stayed long enough and counts the pick as coming from that cell.
- A hand passing over other cells does not count; any cell where the hand stays less than 0.6 seconds does not count.
- A pick is settled only when the hand leaves the material area.
- If the hand reaches into a deep box and is briefly hidden by the box walls, that does not count as leaving; the workstation waits a moment.
- Two settlements on the same cell within 1 second are merged into one.
- Materials are not recognized, so whether 2 or 3 items were taken in one pick cannot be judged yet.
It belongs to a separate "Picking" group in the editor. Like other types, it can be placed in combined conditions.
Two ways to use it
| Use | How to set | On the workstation |
|---|---|---|
| Check mode | Pick one cell in 应取格子 (Expected cell) | Right cell: the step passes. Wrong cell: "wrong cell" is reported (on an English workstation the alarm reads like Picked from "Washer", expected "M6 screw"); put it back and pick from the right cell, and the alarm clears by itself |
| Record mode | Set 应取格子 (Expected cell) to 不指定 (Not specified) | Records whichever cell is picked without judging right or wrong. The step card shows the pick counts for this step, for example "M6 screw ×2 · Washer ×1" |
When a step in record mode counts as done is set by 记录模式自动结束 (Auto-finish in record mode): after material has been picked, if no new pick happens for this long, the step is complete. Set it to 0 to disable auto-finish; the step then waits for the worker to tap "End this round".
Pick records are sent to the admin console: Statistics has "Picking statistics", which sums up picks per cell (material name); in the per-piece details, each piece shows "Pick records: M6 screw×2, Washer×1".
How to configure
Step 1: draw cells and material areas on the zone page (once per operation)
- Draw one zone per cell, and name the zone after the material in the cell (for example "M6 screw"). Statistics and alarms show this name directly. Draw it slightly inside the cell edges.
- Then draw 1~N material areas, each enclosing a group of cells. For example, one for the row of small cells at the bottom and one for the few large material boxes at the top.
Step 2: choose "Pick from cell" in the step
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| 物料区 (Material area) | Required; you can select several |
| 应取格子 (Expected cell) | One cell = check mode; 不指定 (Not specified) = record mode |
| 格子范围 (Cell range) | Automatic by default, meaning all cells in the material area; select manually when only some cells count |
| Dwell / leave confirmation / occlusion wait / same-cell merge | Defaults 0.6 s / 0.3 s / 1 s / 1 s; usually no need to change |
| 记录模式自动结束 (Auto-finish in record mode) | Record mode only |
| Which hand | Either hand by default |
| 需要抓取动作 (Require grip) | See the next section |
Require grip
When judging by dwell alone, a worker who reaches into a cell empty-handed and pauses (hesitating, searching, pointing) is also recorded as a pick. With 需要抓取动作 (Require grip) turned on, the hand must also make a grip gesture during the dwell (four fingers bent, or thumb and index finger pinched) for long enough.
- Defaults: bend ≥ 0.35, pinch ≤ 0.45, held for 0.2 s.
- For actions such as lifting a large item out of a bag, the grip gesture is very short and may be missed. If picks are missed, first lower the "hold" duration.
Common pitfalls
The material area must enclose the whole group of cells, not a single cell
If a single cell is used as the material area, the pick is settled as soon as the hand leaves that cell, and whether the result is right is pure luck.
- The material area also decides where the workstation looks for hands: it only looks for hands near the material area, so it can find them even when they are small in the frame. Enclosing the cells is enough; do not draw it over the whole frame.
- When cells are very close together, draw the cell zones slightly inward so a passing hand is less likely to be misjudged.
- Operations that only use the three rule types Pick from cell, Hand in zone and Hand left zone need no detection model. If any other type is used, a model must be trained first, otherwise submitting for review is blocked.
